Vannon V2 Running Rails
CNC-fabricated running rails developed from research and prototype work into a production product.

Overview
Project scope
At Vannon, I helped design and fabricate prototype running rails for Mercedes Sprinter vans. The work included CAD development, CNC-cut aluminum components, fit-up fixtures, and repeated prototype testing.
Challenge
Design problem
The rails needed to be strong, visually clean, manufacturable on available equipment, and repeatable across production van builds.
Solution
Engineering approach
Flat patterns and fixtures were designed for CNC routing and controlled assembly, allowing the long rail structure and mounting brackets to be produced efficiently and consistently.
