Mechanical and electrical mounting systems for a battery-electric vintage trolley conversion.

Project scope
At Vintage Trolley Inc., I designed and fabricated hardware for replacing outdated traction motors and resistor controls with modern brushless motors, inverters, contactors, and high-voltage components.

Design problem
The modern system had to fit within the original trolley truck and use practical mounting locations while preserving service access and structural integrity.
Solution
Engineering approach
I created CAD assemblies and fabricated steel brackets that adapted new equipment to the existing truck, including inverter and contactor mounts and motor retention hardware.
